It was yet another busy week.

What follows after Orientation camps are usually OG outings.
OG1 had their dinner outing at Fish and Co on wednesday night and some of the ex-cos went along as well. After dinner some of us went over to Zouk and some OG 5 members came. What was a small group initially became an extremely big group.

Shenchee brought Chivas and we finished it at a fitness corner nearby. I tried apple shooters for the first time and its nice. :D

OG 3 had their outing on Thursday at Timbre but I couldn't make it as I had a dinner appointment already. Dinner was Crystal Jade followed by desserts at 2am Dessert Bar. We tried their chef's special - Strawberry Sweet Milk. It was presented to us very prettily on a glass plate.

OG 5 and 6 had a combined outing to a KTV pub at Selegie on Friday but the heads can't make it as we had a meeting. The rest went prawning at Bishan while I went to Prive Bakery Cafe at Keppel Island after the meeting ended. It's got a nice view and very relaxing with live band over at the bar area but the service initially was very very bad.

Apparently they had alot of waiters/waitresses but they never seem to come to you.

Our order of : Hazelnut Praline Royale, Berries Milkshake and Steakcut fries with Truffle Oil.
The fries were nice but I feel that OverEasy's version is nicer.
-yums-

During the later part the service got a little better when we had more attention from the supervisor or something when he was more attentive to our empty glasses of iced water.

I met up with James and the rest for Dim Sum buffet at Peach Garden on Saturday afternoon. It's probably abit nicer than Zhou's kitchen and cheaper too. haha!

We went over to Junction 8 to shop for gifts that Malcolm needs to get, and went over to Tangs at Vivo to get the stuffs. We decided not to MJ after that and so we made way back separately.

SIM ODAC is having her annual Night Cycling event.
Date: 7th - 8th August
For interested parties, please click HERE for more details.
Event is open to public.

Last week was one busy week packed to the brim!

It was the CCA recruitment drive on Monday and Tuesday, followed by a short meeting on Tuesday night till 10pm. The second day's recruitment drive saw loads of membership signups as well.

Finally Wednesday came and then it was contacting the freshies in the late morning and then down to Dairy Farm for a last dry run. Dinner was at CCK before we headed back to Dairy Farm to try out the nightwalk. Everything ended at about 1030pm and I went back home to shower before going over to Zouk to meet PJ and the rest. Celebrated Joanna's belated birthday and it's the first time everyone's there.

Woke up at 1030am on Thursday morning and I went down to Beach road to get my Teva sandals, and then over to Tampines One. I haven't been there before other than the short time I was there before Sundown. Dinner was at Sushi Tei and we ordered so much that our table was full. The soba I ordered taste like vodka? :(

I went back home to prepare abit before heading down to school to help load the stores to Dairy Farm. Everything was done by about 12plus am and we went for Teochew Porridge at Bukit Merah.

With less than 45 minutes of sleep, I went for FOC which lasted for 3 days.
For the entire camp, I had less than 10 hours of sleep other than catching some sleep in between car rides.

I reached home on Sunday at about 4pm and took a short nap till around 7pm before going down to Martin's chalet. I was too exhausted to play mahjong so I left the place at about 11plus.

Good Job 13th for the FOC! Time was short but we managed to put everything in place. (:

FOC's going to carry on as planned and on Thursday night, I was told to go down to school on Friday for booth duty. Things are going to get bee-zee.

I think I still can't imagine who I met in school at the booth. It's so much of a coincidence! That's another story altogether. We then went over to Clementi NTUC to do grocery shopping and we bought a whopping $200 plus worth of food items, okay but divide that by the no. of participants.

I went home after that and changed and went down to One Fullerton. I took the longer route instead of the shortcut in my very blur state.

I ordered the cheesesteak burger (?) that's going for $1 each instead of the usual $16 for 4 because of some on-going promotion. Something to do with the stock market. Interesting. The burger is uber delicious.

Drinks were going for 1-for-1 as well, so I shared Erdinger with xiaoping.

We shared the maincourse - Steak with Fries in truffled oil (?). It's not a very big portion for the price we pay but the steak is really very tender and juicy. It's making me salivate as I think about it. The fries is nice as well! One of their specialty. Almost wanted to order the fries as a side dish but decided against it cos it's $14 just for fries!

We just chilled the night away, by the river with the slight breeze or did it come from the mini-flyer? haha! (okay, inside joke)

As an initiation for Teck Wei to join the 'club', Vanessa ordered a glass of Long Island Tea for him. He finished it at one go. Not bad! Apparently their L.I.T.'s more lemony.. It doesn't taste as bad but I still hate L.I.T.

Alas, one group picture before we left the place at 10pm. It's an early night for everyone I guess, compared to the last two friday nights.

The total bill for 6 of us was about $260 but the ambience, food and service made up for it.

:D

As usual I was just slacking around at home and then Nathnl asked if I wanna have dinner. So I went down to Chinatown to meet him, JG and santono. He felt that I was picking on him the whole evening. hahahah!

but hello. it was just amusing. For example, him getting drunk on .. ******r ? Sometimes he goes one big round to shoot himself. =X

After Chinatown we walked over to Central Mall to get Raisin buns but they were sold out so we took a bus to Orchard and ... Bakerzin's July promotion includes Macarons at 95cents nett! :D

We went over to Paragon for Starbucks but because JG said that there's a tea room somewhere so we went over to take a look. I've always thought that there are two cafes at the back of Paragon and I know Vincent works there too and I saw him from afar when we walked towards there. :P

Instead of settling down at Starbucks, we took a walk round Marketplace and then decided to head for home.
As if i've not eaten enough for dinner, I went over to Ah Chews for desserts. Yes, Mango sago. yum yums.

Due to H1N1, the FOC's being postponed till further notice. That being said, I find myself with lots of free time. There's good and bad towards the postponing of the camp. Oh wells.

So today Sheila, Samuel and Nelson came over to my place for some MJ. It's been a looong time since I've played it. We played till about 6plus and they left while I went to prepare myself to meet the girls at Vivo.

Dinner was at Sushi Tei.

The Golden Roll is oh-so-yummylicious. :D

Pauljean suggested going over to One o15 to chill. We settled at this place called Nebula and we chose to sit in the open space overlooking the dock where all the yachts are. Nice view.

Most of us had Mocktails while Elena ordered a cocktail. I was supposed to let my liver rest ya? haha!

There was a bunch of caucasians two tables away from us and I think the guy is drunk and he talks quite loudly. A group of chinese came later and sat at the table in between us. I dont know how but the two groups bonded quite well. Or rather, the caucasians were the ones talking most of the time, but they could sing rather well.

That provided free entertainment for us.

The toilet was ultra cool. Pardon me if I sounded like some mountain tortise.

the mirror area where there are neccessities like cotton wool, buds, deodorant and Gatsby.

The sofa area

The lockers

The girls. Like finally all of us can meet. It's been long. (:

26th June, Friday

So, the friday arrived.

I made my way down to Zouk and met up with the rest; and we had some uninvited company. That's another story altogether.

There was some kind of fashion show going on. Met yu perng outside cos he was working at the fashion show.
They moved over from Phuture to Zouk at about 10plus and that's when the "free-flow" started.

Martell, Chivas, Redbull, Green Tea and Coke.

Absolut Mandarin! one of the ingredient in the making of Bombshell. (:

Someone stacked the glasses but we were told to unstack them by the waitress.

Our group's strength was about 12 or 14.
Initially we all thought 3 bottles were alot but end up they came in small sized bottles and all was gone in 2 hours ! The table was clear by the time I got back after disappearing to i-dont-know-where.

It was almost a smurfs gathering, other than the smurfs I went with, I saw Jasmine + gang outside queuing up to get in. One interesting thing to note was, I was with Peixuan; Teckwei and Timothy at the dancefloor when Peixuan saw Elton. I couldn't recognise him but PX kept pulling him to take picture but he refused. I thought he was PX's friend so i just helped her pull him for a photo. It was until the next day that I realised it was Elton. =X

We met Jerold as well.

I told you, almost half my batch of smurf were there! Overall, it was a fun night. Music's much better with Andrew Chow. It was another DJ spinning last friday when we were there.

27th June

Redbull proved itself really effective when I could not sleep until almost 8am in the morning despite feeling tired. My mind was especially alert. =X

I woke up at about 10plus 11 and headed down to Vivocity and met Peixuan and Annabel. We had high tea at Central, by then it was almost 3pm. Breakfast, lunch and tea rolled into one.
After that we took a walk around Tangs and in less than an hour, I created quite a bad damage to my pockets.

I went home after that and got the soap for the Dry-run.
Drove the car out and went over to Wheelock. Had dinner at Shimbashi Soba. My first time dining there but I wasn't exactly hungry after the late lunch, but the soba was good. Popped by Marina Barrage, my second time there and today the breeze was much stronger and the place was very cooling. :D

What was supposed to be a spin led us to Rocher Beancurd for desserts, and I'm back home at almost 3am.

28th June

I woke up at 830am and prepared myself for a day out at Dairy Farm. ODAC's FOC dry-run.

I reached school at 10am and walked round and round before Shu Hong told me how to get to the basement. =P

It was interesting as we then had our brunch that Sheila and JG got for us at the carpark. So it's called the Carpark Dining. We headed over to Dairy Farm in Sheila's car, Junren's lorry and Boon's van.

We started our activities and then had a short trek up the hill in two batches. It was a little challenging at the initial part and I always feel that i might slip and fall at certain points cos I can't get a firm grip on the ground. It's fun anyhow. :D

Some of us went back to the MOE Adventure camp and returned the logistics and we climbed over the gates to enter the place again for washing up cos the guy locked us out! =X
We went over to SP when the rest came back from the trek for washing up followed by dinner before going back to Dairy Farm for the night walk. I alighted at Clementi to pick my car before joining them at Bukit Batok for dinner. We had a feast and the food's really nice.

It was then that the Night walk was postponed and then the entire group of us went over to Mt Faber Safra for bowling but not everyone bowled. I picked up some tips from Ian as well. :D

This time round we only played one game and then we headed over to Ah Chews for desserts! We made it just in time before they closed and the Mango Sago with Pomelo is yummylicious. Home sweet home-d at about 1am after dropping Wanshan. I am totally exhausted from running around since two days back, and am very sunburnt.
